Pssst, hey moms and dads! Are you looking for more heathy kid snack ideas? Listen up parents, this post is especially for you. We all know that making your kiddos eat healthy can be difficult, especially when you are constantly fighting against sugary, processed treats in the market. Now, I myself don’t have kids (I’m working on it!), but I was once a kid and I know what they are continuously fighting to eat. I would go to the grocery store (with my pockets full of quarters that I stole from my dad’s collection of change, sorry dad!) and buy myself a bag of chips, a candy bar, and soda as an after school snack.

It wasn’t until I entered my late twenties that I had the notion as to what eating clean and treating my body with good-for-you foods meant. It’s why I have a voice over here at Fork & Beans. Not only do I have a passion for creating recipes for kids but there is also a desire to help people realize that eating healthier doesn’t have to be boring or uncreative. It’s why I make these silly creations on the site and it’s why I encourage parents to let their kids get silly with their food.

Think of the endless laps I could have endured had I eaten a healthy wrap stuffed with homemade hummus and tons of veggies instead of french fries and soda pop? Now when your kids are on the hunt for a snack to hold them over for dinner, why not give them the power to make something nutritious to eat that will get them through their homework or sports’ practice!
Wanna have MORE fun? Check out my video below on how make these masterpieces!
Go ahead now, stuff that refrigerator with fresh veggies, fill the pantry with FlatOut wraps and flatbreads, and give your kids the freedom to make their own healthy choices. Who knows? Maybe it will be a trickle-down effect to their friends? And their friends’ friends? And before you know it, we’ll all be eating better in no time!
