Allergen-Friendly Valentine Ideas

February 7, 2015 by Cara

Pink and red hearts are vomiting all over grocery stores, filling the aisles with candy that 1). I cannot have; b). I cannot have; and 3). I know makes me feel horribly so I don’t even want. But just because *I* cannot participate in the exchanging of sugared-up love notes, doesn’t mean *you* cannot either. Those with food allergies/restrictions/moral obligations need not feel on the outside this Lover’s Day because something special has emerged. Allergen-friendly candy! Thank you Surf Sweets for remembering us little guys. And no, I ate none of this candy…well, I did prior to my diet change so I can assure you that this stuff is delicious. Allergen-Safe Valentine's Candy

I get the biggest kick out of making holidays super fun for those with food requirements. I’m convinced it’s why I was put on this planet because it makes me happier than I could ever explain. I get carried away with ideas and crafty crafts and can spend hours cutting paper and meticulously gluing eyeballs to lollipops, as seen here in this post. If you are still in need of ideas of what to send your kiddos to school with for Valentine’s Day or need a fun idea to make for your lover, here are 6 allergen-friendly Valentine ideas that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Mmm I love Surf Sweets gummy worms! My son and I devour them every time they enter our house. We get a lot of our candy from naturalcandystore.com, and it has a ton of Surf Sweets products!
